Summer holidays for kids, we decided to visit our neighboring countries in Asia, this time around. Thailand, like India, gets terribly hot during summer season. It gets worse in April. To beat the heat, as soon as the kids were done with the annual exams, we boarded a flight to Bangkok, on the very same night. Neither am I a beach person nor is my husband, but the kids wanted to snorkel. So, we headed towards Krabi, the pure white sand beaches with turquoise water.
Here are some of the pics that I took –
- You can join a tour to go island hopping. But for a little bit more, one can get a private tour. We arranged for a private boat from Andaman Camp and Cruise, and I highly recommend them. Please make sure that you book well in advance.
- The currency used in Krabi baht. There is an ATM located amid the eateries on the nopparrattara beach main road (I’m sure there are more in the krabi town).
- You will need lots of sunscreen, sun hat, sun glasses and the mosquito repellent.
- Apparently Nov-Jan is ‘the season’ to be there.
From here we flew to see Angkor Wat, the eight wonder of the world. Siem Reap in Cambodia was our next leg of the journey.
